Firelands Hardware, Incorporated, takes its name from the region in Ohio in which it is located. During the Revolutionary War, many Connecticut residents were burned from their homes when the British raided that area. To compensate them for their losses, the State of Connecticut granted those residents half a million acres of the “Western Reserve,” an area Connecticut claimed from its colonial charter. Those early settlers receiving grants of land were called “Fire Sufferers” and the area they settled referred to as “The Firelands."
Since 2000 we have been a family owned and operated manufacturer and importer of commercial hardware.
