Schlage WRI400 Outdoor Wireless Reader Interface
WRI400
The Wireless Reader Interface (WRI400) is a networked access point controller that provides wireless connectivity to traditionally wired electronic access control components including credential readers, strikes, door position and request-to-exit switches.
It can save time and money on installation by reducing wiring to the door from a panel interface module. It also plays an important role in wirelessly controlling distant access points such as gates and elevators, or hard-to-wire openings in remote locations or historic buildings.
Two Form C relays on the WRI400 allow it to control more than one device on an opening such as a credential reader combined with an auto operator. Wireless transmission of information is done via 900 MHz back to a panel interface module (PIM) hardwired to an access control panel.
Since the WRI400 is built on an open architecture platform, it is designed for seamless integration with most access control systems.
